Betting in South Africa is as popular as a braai on a sunny Saturday, with just about everyone enjoying some kind of lottery or sports bet. But there’s just something special about games where every second matters that keeps people coming back. And that’s exactly where Red Baron RNG comes into play. It’s easy to play, and all you have to do is answer one question: How long are you going to keep that plane in the air?
The name Red Baron comes from Manfred von Richthofen, a German fighter pilot from WW1 who was known for his famous red plane. For a long time, the name was limited to history books and aviation stories, but when the online gambling industry launched crash games, it found a new home. In 2025, Evolution released the original Red Baron, and YesPlay is now the go-to spot for the RNG version of the game, letting you start betting with as little as R1.
It seems odd that a historical flying figure has now become an online multiplayer game. But instead of being on a battlefield, the player has to react to the action fast enough.
Want to know how it works?
Red Baron uses a random number generator that works similarly to a dice roll. Once you’ve finished setting up the bet, the plane takes off and you have to decide whether to cash out manually or preset a specific threshold using the Auto Cash Out feature.
Red Baron lets the player place up to three separate bets in one round, each one having a different cash-out target. This way, one bet might cash out in the early stage, while another keeps going for longer. Keep in mind that as the multiplier climbs, so does the potential reward. But if the plane disappears before you can cash out, you will lose your original bet. Evolution has also noted that a round can even end immediately, resulting in a loss for everyone who bet that round.
To play the game on YesPlay, simply visit https://yesplay.bet/live-games/yes-play-red-baron-rng after logging in. There, you can set the amount you want to wager, adjust your Auto Cash Out settings, finalize your bet, and watch the game in action. The round will continue until it finally comes to a close, either because you cash out in time or the game ends and you wind up losing the stake.
